Madiha and Muhammad Haj Yihye moved into a new apartment seven years ago. After they were unable to find an available exterminator, Madiha decided to start her own business in this trade. She studied the profession and received a Health Ministry license.
Later on she also added snake-trapping to the list of services offered. Her husband is currently one of her employees.
Madiha is participating in a career advancement course for women sponsored by the Citizens Accord Forum between Jews and Arabs in Israel in cooperation with the Industry and Trade and the Joint Distribution Committee. This course is geared towards Arab women looking to succeed with their own businesses.
