Darnell - that's a really nice idea because it promotes Israel as a place of diversity, not just sexy women.

But putting the guy on a beach with bikini-clad women will offend many, so I would put him at the shuk, or just on a regular street in Tel Aviv, where the pedestrians come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

Ok, now who's gonna volunteer to film this thing?

Here is how I would sell Israel (note: I originally posted this comment over at Isrealli.org when they asked).

---[imagination on]---
I would start out by having an image of the torah, with an orthodox looking Jewish guy reciting scripture to himself. It looks like he is reading in a solitary place, but as you slowly pan out, you realize that he is at the beach (cue for sea gull sounds).

As you pan out even further, you see he is on a bench, and next to him is a lady in a bathing suit, reading a fashion magazine (or a business one, you get to choose).

As the camera slowly pans out, you see other people around them, kids playing with a ball, people throwing frisbee, etc. As you pan out even higher, you see more people until you are about 100 feet up and then you see a guy on a powered paragliding device flying above it all, then end the commercial with, "Israel, its like no other place on Earth." (or whatever slogan you choose).
---[imagination off]---

I think this would be good because you wouldn't offend your spiritual tourists (who may not appreciate all the flesh) but at the same time capture the main audience (who may not be interested in religious sites).

So, what do you think?
