@Karin - which basically is saying that we have no natural resources, since whatever we do have we can't/shouldn't use.

I rather thought that funny that a country would list "SAND" as a natural resource when every country in the world has it, (never ever heard of a floating country)I guess this must be desperation. I see this as Israel trying to make a long list of the limited natural resource it has as a distraction to the fact that it is in fact a welfare state sponsered by the USA and the people of America had better wake up to this fact before their own country ends up broke because all their wealth has endede up in Israel.Another lie is the TIMBER claim, that country is a desert as far as I know it and deserts have no trees, looks like the CIA is just as ignorant as S Palin on world affairs.

Well, I suppose the sand + the tech sector go hand-in-hand. Though that would work better if we acctually made the chips as well.

Jerusalem Joe - You're right! I didn't even think of that when I read that they said timber is one of our resources. I guess they're referring to the twig I saw thriving in the middle of the desert.

Air is valuable; we all need it.

That's ridiculous.
Since when do we have timber? We have to plant stuff like crazy in order to have some shade in the summer. I guess nobody told the CIA that Israel is mostly desert.
And if they're listing sand they might as well list "air" too...
